Too many times, I’ve seen or read how someone talks about how the course they took is the best choice they ever made. They show their income claims (sometimes it’s been Photoshopped or altered in some way or another) and say things akin to “you can do it, too”. They make it look so easy.

Here’s what I’ve done throughout the past year and a half.

Edutainment

It took me a while to figure out what “edutainment” is. Essentially, it’s trending content that also gives people information. The original course I took said it works, but they updated the course recently. At the same time, every social media platform has evolved and updated.

Eventually, I gave up on “edutainment” when I noticed everyone so tired of it. People weren’t watching it and it’s not bringing in any leads.

Giving Value

You’ve heard those gurus talk about giving value in your content to get leads and sales, right? Well, I’ve tried that, too. Unfortunately, by talking about how great the course I took was and what it taught me, people wanted more free information.

So I stopped giving tips, tricks, and free info. It just wasn’t getting me…
